I have the Kindle 2nd gen and I LOVE it. However, I had a battery issue that couldn’t be fixed and Amazon sent a Kindle 3rd gen straight out to me for no cost! I must say that the 3rd gen’s 3G browser on the 3rd gen is SO much faster, and the text is simply beautiful. The only thing I’d love to see is a back light, if that’s even possible with the e-ink.

Is the new Kindle keyboard unit just announced a rebadged version of the Kindle 3? Pretty impressive devices really, I love the fact it has text to speech and voice guide features, that’s great for people like myself who lave low vision or who are blind.

you made me get one! WiFi only $218 NZ dollars, if you eject it from the “computer” window by right clicking the drive icon it will let you read etc while charging, i got my datasheets on there and i bought a few jules verne and stephen king books
