  1. I think Kindle is still far better… now that they have black/grayish version out…

  2. @butmunch34 Yet The iPad Still Completes It :D

  3. @ParisHidden does

  4. So this model is still $379 ?
yes a bit expensive… but it those have text-speak.. those the Ipad Have that?

  5. @datboydjextreme iStrain more like. Enjoyan uncomfortable reading experience on the iPad, you pathetic Apple fanbitch

  6. fuck the kindle
    iPad babyyyyyyy..
    apple fan boy here…

  7. @joeworrall better? just because you can load a epub on the ipad doesnt mean you can compare it to a ereader. Its like comparing a laptop and a desktop. get real.

  8. @divagirlh20 You can just get the Kindle 2 its much cheaper at $189 which is a more reasonable price

  9. and its got button you can press!!!!!

  10. Look up Adam tablet, 10 times better

  11. good
    but a bit overpriced
    i’ll buy one when it’s around $250

  12. i wanna buy one sooo bad but im 14 going 15 my parent defienitly wont buy it nut whe i get a job im sooo buying 1 ui love to read i read so much that i got kick out of class cause i was reading instead of paying attention to the teacher lol 1 thing i like the most is the listen to the story cause i walk to school alot n the school is far n i wake up early so my friends dont walk with it will make my 45 minute of walking more fun

  13. @Youbian It’s $379 now.

  14. black and white does not work for textbooks. too bad..

  15. @joeworrall I think that there are a lot of people who may not want all those features, plus the kindle prices have gone down a lot. I love my Kindle, but then I am not a big tech-person

  16. @ordinaryman1982
ermm, yes it was. why do you think the introduced the iBook store for it? its designed to be an entertainment tablet. That includes books, videos and pictures. the fact that it does more than this doesnt mean it wasnt designed for e-reading, it just means that they are better at making products with more function for the same price as the kindle.

p.s: no im not an “apple fan boy” they are both great products

  17. The idea of making a device just for reading books, about the same size of an iPad but with less advanced hardware because you don’t need that for reading, is great.

However, the Kindle DX almost has the same price as an iPad. Considering this fact, the iPad IS a far better choice, since it’s alot more capable and offers a lot more for the price. Even reading eBooks is better on the iPad, with all the nice ways to navigate, bookmark, make notes etc.

  18. I have a question, can it open books in cyrillic?

  19. @BlankMessageTV kindle dx is actually ideal for book readers, not that ipad crap. battery lasts like what? weeks. ipad lasts 8 hrs or so thanks to its lcd. kindle imitates books. ipad tries too hard.

  20. OVERPRICED!

  21. So, while they continue to lower the price of the kindle, the DX model stays rock solid at $489.00 – What gives?

  22. I really love amazon for what they do, but i must say with apple IPAD, kindle DX or KINDLE appears to an E-Reader of past generation. I am so fortunate that i didn’t bought expensive Kindle-DX which i was about to buy but thought to check out and borrowed for a day from my friend. It has one good thing which is E-INK and other than that it is just so traditional esp if you have used any apple product.

  23. I love my Kindle!
But can anyone tell me how to transfer my PDF’s to it?

  24. @lancsFrogger says the person who doesn’t seem to have the time to spell “and”, “you’ve”, and “to”. Stick to picture books they’re more your level AND they come in color! XD thank’s for that laugh though, you really are funny…..

  25. I love my Kindle.
